Quitting to Win

Hey Reader

In a world that values persistence, Lord Krishna's wisdom challenges us to rethink the value of quitting.

Seems counterintuitive ? Let's inspect this closely & figure out in 11th edition of Unleash10X - the only productivity dose, you need.

What’s packed in this issue ?

How quitting makes you win ?

As we navigate the ups and downs of life, we often find ourselves in situations where we have to make tough choices. We may feel stuck in a situation that is not taking us towards our desired outcome, and the only way out seems to be running away from it.

Interestingly, this strategy is not just limited to human beings, but has been used successfully by some of the greatest leaders in history. One such leader is Lord Krishna, also known as Ranchod Krishna, who advised the warrior Arjuna to retreat from the battlefield in the epic Mahabharata. Lord Krishna said, "Sometimes leaving the battlefield and running from it makes you win the battle." This powerful statement speaks to the idea that sometimes it's better to retreat from a difficult situation rather than fighting through it to the bitter end.

As for why Lord Krishna is also known as Ranchod, it is said that he once fled from the battlefield during a battle with the king of the Yadavas. This act of retreat earned him the name Ranchod, which means "he who flees from the battle." However, it's important to note that Lord Krishna's retreat was not a sign of weakness but rather a strategic move that ultimately helped him win the battle.

But why would a great warrior like Arjuna run away from the battlefield? As Lord Krishna explained, sometimes it's necessary to step back and reassess the situation to come up with a better strategy. By taking a break and regaining their strength, Arjuna and his army were ultimately able to win the battle.

But what does this have to do with human smartness or productivity? The answer lies in the idea that knowing when to walk away from a challenging situation is just as important as persevering through it. It takes wisdom and intelligence to recognize when a situation is no longer worth the effort and to make the decision to move on.

In today's society, we often equate productivity with pushing ourselves to the limit and working as hard as we can. However, we must also recognize that sometimes the smartest thing we can do is to step back and assess the situation before deciding on our next move. Just as Lord Krishna counseled Arjuna to consider his options before fighting the battle, we too can benefit from taking a moment to pause and reflect before making our next move.

So, the next time you find yourself in a tough situation, consider whether taking a step back might be the best way to move forward.
